Both are good but it depends on your application and how you want it to look as to what it will cost over all.

Both seem to be close in price for my 61 Impala thats why I was asking. Probably will go for the steel ones and paint it rather than the powdercoat incase I ever do A color change.

Did you have to take it apart to paint? What did you paint it with?
Is your 61 stock? would love to see pics of it.........

I had a friend who owns a body shop paint it to match the interior. All the paint on the car is single stage. Build thread--

Its at the upholstery shop now getting some nice custom door panels to match the seats and a bit of an audio upgrade and then the new rear end and a Lee steering box.

He's working on a 605 box now, which is what I need to clear my aftermarket radiator, and expects have them available in about a month so honestly I have no idea what else I will need yet.

We sell a lot of both Flaming River and IDidIt. They are both awesome quality.
The total ready to install cost of the IDidIt will come out to a lower cost for a ready install column as they include more of what you need to install them.
We have a IDidIt sale going on, so emal me with what you need,

I just can't stand the key set up on the ididit columns.... Looks so small and cheap... Like the key for my suitcase....

Good to know, but my key is in the dash anyway so it wont be a deciding factor.

Agreed, on 69 and up GM with key we recomend Flaming river for that reason alone. I am not a fan of the IDidIt key type and really do not like the location either at 4 O Clock. However, that fix is just around the corner, all I can say for now.
There is no mistake to made in chossing here. As I said, both brands are awesome quality with IDidIt holding a slight cost advantage.

I went with an Ididit for my 67 'Bird. Mainly because it's supposed to use all the factory mounting hardware. I'm in the proicess of test fitting a lot of stuff now. I hope to see how it will fit over the weekend. I'll post results if I get the chance.
