I finally found a good solution to the crappy factory seats. The brackets are made in the US and bolt in place to the floor and the seat slider. I love the seats... they are imported I'm sure, but the fit and finish are up to my standards at least. lol... It feels great to have firm support instead of a poofy lazy boy chair. I also like how I can run the belts through now, they fold forward and pull the belts out of the way for rear access... Now I just need some pro-touring cup holders.

They're from Chiper Auto. I liked them so much I became a rep. :) They were able to supply brackets so I could bolt them in.

is that a matrix seat? Thats a real slick setup with the seat belt. Do they have brackets to bolt into a first gen camaro?

If your a rep how about a group buy?
How much is a set?
I believe that was a typo. It looks to be Cipher Auto seats. They have quite a few to choose from. http://www.cipherauto.com
Look under the racing seats section. I have never run across these in all the searches I have done. Thanks for the info Tony.
They seem to be priced right in line with say the Procar Rally or Procar Elites.

I'm not sure what a matrix seat is.. they do have the Ciper logo embroidered into them.

Both seats and brackets $500 shipped. I may be able to do better on a group buy. Anyone interested?

These look very nice! I currently have seats from a Hyundai Tiburon in my Cutlass with factory covers on them. For the price of getting them recovered, I could just get brand new seats!

I got some seat time in on Friday and I'm really happy with these... I feel a lot more confident driving in them over those poffy, non supportive factory ones. They are in fact firm, but even after a good 20min drive I wasnt sore getting out.

Can these seats be purchased with sub-belt holes?

I don't think so.
What is that fabric?
Mine is standard cloth.. but you can get vinyl too.
What are the seat weights?
I think with the mounting brackets they are about 35-38 lbs each.. I'm pretty sure..

Have you put any real seat time in these yet? I'm looking for a set for my Cutlass, but I want them to be comfy for longer distance trips.

Yes, I did about 40 miles on Friday. Not a really long trip, but I never thought twice about sitting in them. And the support gives me that much more confidence driving. I like the way they route the seatbelt too so its not riding up on your neck.

Very nice! Do you notice if you sit relatively low in them? Sorry for the odd question, but I'm 6'6" and it would pretty much seal the deal for me if they were nice n low.

The brackets have 3 height settings and what you see there is the lowest setting, which seems to sit at the factory bucket height.
Not sure if the floors are lower in a 69 Cutlass? So take that in consideration.

Thanks, I just emailed them to ask about availability (10:30pm) and he replied immediatly with an answer. That's customer service.
I'll probably be ordering these in a few weeks.
Vinyl outer with suede centers. Should match the factory vinyl in the Cutlass pretty well, and the suede will help prevent sliding around. I love the suede inserts on my SRT8 seats.
