I know you are looking for a GM setup. But... I looked high and low. I saw alot of promising brakes till I looked at the prints for the calipers and fitment. All of them that I saw had the caliper hitting my wheel. I have a small wheel (17") and needed a zero offset because I already had my wheels/tires and they were pretty tight already on my 62 Nova.

All of the GM calipers were pretty large and I had to go with wilwood. The cost was only about 100-125 dollars higher. And I looked at all of the possibilities. Going with Fords 13" brakes, GMs 13" brakes. Everything. And cost was a big consideration, but fitment was more important (of course). I ended up going with some wilwood brakes. And let me say, the car stops on a dime. And I have the rear brakes essentially "turned off" right now with the adjustable proportioning valve. Im still working on other parts of the car and havent had the time to dial in the rear disc brakes yet. So Im stopping on just the fronts. Alot of "modulation" or feel and I can put the WHOA on in a second. Its like dropping an anchor if I need it. Even from high speeds, no brake fade. And the pads are the inexpensive pads they toss in with the package, not even the good pads.

Dunno, I like the idea of going with some GM brakes. Alot to be said for the brakes. But the calipers are really big. Didnt fit into my lil package.

I like my wilwoods so far. I can tool around town at slow speeds and its like driving my honda, predictable and smooth. Then when Im at speed and need to put it all to a stop they clamp down pretty aggressively and put a stop to my madness. So well I might forget to turn on the rear brakes. Note to myself, adjust the rear brakes so they take some of the load. LOL JR

the LS on the rear should be easy. it's the MustangII up front.

any sources on a PBR C15 caliper? i seem to see them around with different manufacturers name on them but i can't seem to find calipers alone, or even application info. i recently e mailed PBR, no reply as of yet.

Wilwood, Baer etc i'd love to have but if possible i'd like to do this with a factory style part.

thanks.

There are a lot of different designs of MII spindles ranging from stock-ish to full aftermarket, so which one are you using? Std height or drop?

These Heidt's MII drop spindles (http://www.heidts.com/mustang_ii_2_dropped_steel_spindles.html)? If so, I believe we have C5/C6-based kits compatible with that spindle...like I said, there are a lot of subtle and not-so-subtle variations when it comes to MII spindles. The beauty of the C5/C6 kits is that you several options ranging from the base level C5/C6 to the C6 Z51, C6 Z06 and even C6 ZR1 carbon/ceramics if you dare, all with the same conversion brackets and hubs.
