      Moser 9" for 67 Camaro - LS1 brakes?

I found out my 8.5 10 bolt is out of a 2nd gen camaro and is too wide for my taste.

I'm considering a Moser 9" direct replacement housing. If you've done this swap, what brakes did you use on the rear? Can I use LS1 rear brakes on it? I know the Currie unit from Jegs uses the 2.50" brake spacing like a GM, not sure about Moser. Just not sure if the large bearing ends on the 9" will allow the use of them.

Either way, any recommendations? I have 12" C4 brakes on the front with single piston calipers.

If you want to use ls1 brakes you'll need to use hybrid ends on the 9". I know moser offers them. It's a Torino big bearing end with gm bolt pattern. You'll then use the ls1 brake backing plate as a bearing retainer.

The brake offset for gm rear brakes is 2.75. A stock ford rear brake offset is 2.5"

I have a Moser 12 bolt with the LS1 rear brakes. I did swap the RH and LH backing plates so the e-brake lever pulls forward. The car is still in mock up stage. I also upgraded to C5 Corvette rear calipers from Kore3. They bolt right to the Camaro caliper cages and are supposed to be a little better castings...

I just did this on my 9" and have found that the t-bolts (1.25") are not long enough. Have not found one longer yet - may have to grind the heads off standard bolts.
