I have the baer 13" / 6 piston caliper on the front, of my 'stang, and the baer ironsport (for the ford 9") on the rears.

I have backed out the wilwood proportioning valve all the way on the rears.
The front brakes badly outclass the rears.

I cannot go much larger diameter on the rears, due to the deep dish 17" rims.

Master cylinder is manual 15/16" bore, and works very well with the front brakes.

Maybe the caliper bore (area) is too small compared to the fronts.

Do you guys have a suggestion, on perhaps a different caliper that baer offers for the rears?

I already tried the online help for for baer, but an error message pops up, on submission.

Anyway thanks for any suggestions. I don't really want to move the proportioing valve onto the front system.

You may have gone the wrong way on the prop valve. Clockwise (in) is more rear pressure.

Couple of other items that come to mind is bedding the pads, or going with a more aggressive rear pad.

Bob.

Yeah, I might have done a "homer simpson" there. I'll let you know.

Yes, I had it adjusted the wrong way -doh-

So I cranked for full pressure on the rears.

Much better, but after a lot of testing, still not quite enough on the rears.

Close, but not quite. I'd still like a little more bite on the back end.

I think that's where the pad change will probably be your best course of action. You shouldn't have any problem getting some pads with more bite than the ones Baer supplied.

Yeah, that's a good suggestion. I get the feeling maybe 5-10% more bite, on the rears would be enough.

Do you guys have any suggestions as to what might be the best compound/pad to look at? I'll have to look at the rear caliper type baer uses as well, to find what car it came off of.
