Here is my PCV catch can(s). Its pulling off a vacuum from the throttle body to a GM truck PCV valve. The valve is just a simple lil hole (looks to be 1/8", no moving parts) into a canister that vents from the right side valve cover. The air supply comes from the left side valve cover thats routed to the same type of canister as the vacuum side. But its topped off with a filter to filter the incoming air for the crank case.
I used a canister for the incoming air side because sometimes there is an over pressure sitch where the left side also vents OUT and its not complety a source of fresh air but sometimes is a vent outward.
Dont know why it vents out sometimes, its a fresh engine and there is plenty of vacuum on the right side to pull the vapors out. But sometimes I do get a venting out from the left side. So the canister keeps any fluids out of the engine compartment.
So I have two aluminum containers. One for the vacuum side and one for the vent side. So far so good. JR
