might be jumping the gun a little, but for those wanting 3pc wheels but scared off because of price, i found a place who custom cuts wheels for you, barrels and bolts included for $2600.
he is setting up my program right now and will have my center cut out by mid next week. centers are 6160 forged alum. with s.s. bolts. i opted for all raw finish and i will assemble, so price is a little cheaper, but custom made (even set up your own style for $200 program charge) 3pc wheels for under $3k is crazy!!
will keep this thread updated as it goes with wheel weights and quality.

whats crazy is how they will be structurally when you out there whipping around a track..
for a price that cheap... all i can see is that the material is much lower grade..

dontchathink it's a little early to call this one? "for a price that cheap"? - CCW's are around that price; are they a lower grade material?

+1, lol. centers are forged billets. every single 3pc wheel made buys all of their barrels from one of 2 companies worldwide! bbs being the main manufacturer of barrels supplying the whole industry. not many folks have the ability or tooling to make a cold rolled barrel. bolts are stainless.
not too many things to eff up. barrels in quantity, bolts in quantity, billet slugs. do the math and they are still walking away making good money just putting in a raw billet, hitting "start" and coming back in a few hours when the machining is done. if you subtract dealer mark ups, advertising, lots of employees, you see the price come right inline.
if the centers are made of jello, i won't buy. :slap:

overZealous1, I'm just heading out of town for a week but would like to get a quote from your guy.... Please drop me a line with the details at
[email protected] ,,,, I have the program and have done wheels,,,, however, haven't found a source that in-expensive so far....
I agree about the rim bands and there are a few more than you think, but the list of manufactures is limited indeed....

let me make sure everything is legit first. he said he would even just send me the center to inspect in person for free. then cut the other 3 if i approve. sounds pretty legit to this point.

What diameter wheels for $2600? I carry some in that ballpark already for that price range.
