      B&M kit killed my trans.

Well I lost second gear in my TH350. I've always felt that the B&M kit made it shift too hard at low RPMs. I just got it out of the car and removed the pan to find alot of metal pieces. Originally I was going to swap over the B&M into my replacement trans but I think I'm going to order a TransGo kit instead. It will just have to be down a week. As long as I can make it to Cruisin' the Coast on the 9th!

I installed a B&M trans kit over 10 years ago and it's still running strong. I did almost make a mistake when installing two springs, but I caught it before I put the pan back on. I don’t know if your knowledgeable of these kits but I found them slightly simple. Maybe you made the mistake I almost made, and I don’t know how you drive, but I beat my car up including the trans.

I've installed both kits in TH350's. I like the TransGo kit a LOT better than B&M's kit. It just seems more comprehensive.

I used turbo action last time I built my trans. Great product.

Actually if it was too hard a shift you installed it at wrong level and probably did some of the mods to stiffen the shifts up.
I built my th400 with b&m trans pack, added back the modulator valve and that trans worked awesome.
As for pieces in pan, thats what a th350 does, you probably lost a one way clutch or shattered a thrust washer.
TH350 witho ut all of the proper upgrade parts will scatter every time.
Ask me how I know, my brother could turn th350s into scrap in days if not weeks in his firebird with a 350 pont 2bbl!
As for Trans go , if your simply wanting a flat pack to bump it up they are good, if you have not done a lot of valve body mods stay away from the ones with lots of springs and valves its jsut as bad a B&M. guess which companies source parts from same place? all of them.
There are like 4 different comapnies that make the springs, spool valves etc for AT reprogramming.
Generally th350s lose 1st and reverse as the direct drum takes a dump. Dang I wish ai had my old Motor trans manual it would remind me of possible failure as iwrote in margins at tech school!
