First place I would check is Dougs. The TCI clip will make it a little more interesting, but in general Dougs are the "go to" solution for ponchos. I would probably try to identify the spots where the TCI clip departs from factory geometry and then call to ask Dougs/Petronix.

Have you heard if anyone has yet done a dyno with the headers on a relatively serious motor to determine the effect of them compared to a traditional 4-1 stepped header?

we have coated hedmans on out 70 bird just finishing and fit is almost too good with stock sub. so close to floor i can't rotate the 3 bolt collector flange without hitting floor. I did have to do a little grinding on the sub in one spot on each side on the frame for clearance but otherwise excellent fit

have not purchased the tci as of yet, so if someone else's like speed tech, detroit, and the like have been accomplished would like to hear about it. the pontiac is just so sweet that I have to use it. I saw wickedbirds set up (car is for sale $35,000) way to cheap for what he has in it, any one know any one else that has custom fabbed them to fit an aftermarket sub? I appreciate the help with the headmans, looked at tri_y and doug's I will call them tomarrow. thanks

I work for Doug's - in Header Design. I can tell you that we have not tried that combination and won't be able to tell you if it will fit or not BUT I am willing to work with you to try a set once you have the sub frame and engine in place.
PM me for details

thanks dyno don, I will give you a call today and we can work out the details. I've built headers with the "ice" kit and fabbed them up, just looking to avoid that this time and leave the design/engineering to the pros.

I have a set of Doug Thorley 3 tube headers on my 67 firebird and they are the nicest fitting headers I have owned. the center tube is 2 1/4" and it covers both center ports on a D port head, take a look at them for sure. I can remove both headers with the engine in place.
