2 MORE WEEKS THIS THING WILL BE DRIVING AGAIN.

I brought this car home 3 months ago. Put 60 miles on it and started stripping the suspension. Installed mini-tubs,custom tri-4link,spc upper and lower control arms, new willwood brake system, new moser 9" and forglines. This will be it for "crusin the coast".Once we get back we have plans to do a lsx and t56 swap!!!

The car currently has a 355 with a tr-3550. Has anyone had any luck with the tr-3550, holding up to any kind of power? I would like to keep it in the car but the LS is makeing around 500hp/500tq and I think that may destroy the old tremic.

Love the wheels. I'm thinking of doing something similar with my '73. What sizes are they? Backspacing? Did you narrow the rear end?

I'm running the tremec 3550 behind my turbocharged 302. Hp is mid 400's with around 500ftlbs to the tire. I'm running it till it goes, so far so good. Being a Ford guy, that is the only Chevy I would consider buying. Great looking car. My brother inlaw has a 71 with a Vortech on a stockish 454. He can't catch me yet...:)
