The plan is to have the car drivable by the 2011 Run to the Coast event at El Toro in the spring and to have it completely dialed in, painted and interior done by the 2011 Super Chevy Handling Challenge.

Here is a early moch up pic of the P/T front end with 12" Wilwoods. This red front clip is now a display/see below for the 14" brakes on the silver front end for what Sal will be running.

Man, if I had it to do all over again........

From the pictures, that looks like a stout piece of engineering.
And a front clip that allows you to run 275's......awesome!

The car has been in a stand still since Sal broke his leg but he has been making some headway lately.

Here are some pics of Sal's '66 with a 5.75" backspace 18"X9" wheel shod with a 255/35/18 R888 tire

These tires measure out to 25.1 overall diameter & 10.5" overall width.

We're going to use some counter sunk bolts to sandwich the coilover cross member plates into place instead of welding it them to the frame.
