I bought a Hotchkis 1 1/2 inch rear leaf drop kit and powder coated them. After I put them on the axle I noticed a significant difference between them and my stock ones. These are almost flat and my other ones looked like a half pipe. How much exaclty will this drop my car? Does this sound right?

I am pretty sure you will be ok. Remember that your new springs have a higher rate so they will flex less than your stock ones.

Yup. They're pretty flat. You can flip em upside down on the garage floor to measure the free arch. Subtract 1/2 of the spring eye diameter. It's not exact, but you will get a good idea of how low the Hotchkis springs are. This pic compares DSE 2" to DSE 3".

Yeah, physically my Hotchkis leafs were much flatter than my stock leafs, but it only lowered the rear of the car ~3/4" over stock.

Wow!
Dan, yours look flatter than my extra low DSE 3". There must be a significant rate difference. Details please.

Steve, Those leafs are whatever comes with the Hotchkis TVS kit. I've been unable to find any spring rate info online. I guess I need to call Hotchkis.
