Will a little paint make my wheels look more Pro-Touring?

I know there is more to Pro-Touring than looks but my budget dictates that I try and make the best of what I have. So... I am thinking f powder coating some color on my American Racing Hopsters. Do you think a little paint will help them or are they too far gone style-wise to mess with?

Would somebody mind photo shopping some color on here? Im looking at doing Matte-Black center with Titanium or brushed hoops.

If they are polished, I think it would be cool if you brushed the wheels and then did a clear graphite over the face of the wheel and leave the hoops brushed.

I think the wheels are fine, they fit the car pretty nice.
Charcoal centers and polished lips IMO:)
