Will 305/35/18 Nittos fit 18x9.5 Legend 142 rims?

I know its a little bit of a stretch....because I've seen some charts that show combos close, but not exact. Basically I have these almost new 305/35/18 Nittos and was wondering if they'd fit on those inexpensive 18X9.5 Legend wheels by Summit/Vision?

I measured the tires unmounted....tread width 12", total width 12.5", and width across the bead 11". But I know that all changes with mounting.

I had 275/40/17's mounted on a Year One 17x9 snowflake wheels, and the sidewall BARELY protruded beyond the rim.....so I was worried I'd scratch them laying them down on the faces.

THESE tires are 1.25" wider than those were, but the sidewall is actually 3.25mm shorter than those tires were(almost negligable).....but the Legend rims are .5" wider than the snowflakes were........so technically theres .75" more tire compared to rim than what I had before.....or .375" on either side of the rim.

So essentially 1/3" more bulge on each side of the rim than what I had. I think thats workable. Anyone following my math want to comment? LOL

I'm going with 295/45s on mine, and think I should be fine... But, you have a little wider tire with quite a bit less sidewall. I checked Nittos site and the recommended wheel for a 305/35/18 NT555R is 11", with 10" in their accepted range.

Yes, its 1 cm wider. I'm not looking for ideal here...just wondering if it can work. I want an interim set of wheels for the next year or two until I mini-tub the car. For that reason alone it doesnt make sense to spend a lot...yet I want to get it off the 15" rims on it. And I have the rear tires sitting here.....
