I am looking to see if anyone knows where I can go to find good pin connectors that work with the original harness from the 60's and 70's GM vehicles? I am tired of cutting and butt splicing things. I would need what, the pins and some good ratcheting pliers?
Thanks!

For the home hobyist, a ratcheting crimper isn't necessary. I like to use the Delpi crimper below for 56 and 59 series connectors. It will also do the insullation on 12 gauge GXL wire if you are careful. This crimper will also work on Metripac 150 and 280 connectors. I have even used it for the cores on Weather Pack connectors. If you have sealed connectors, you can use needle needle nose pliers for the seal. If you plan on doing hi-volume work, then spend the money and get a good single pass crimper for the pins you are makeing.
You can get an expensive pin extractor, but I've found the cut off end of a small wire tie will remove series 56, 59 and Metripack 280 pins just as well.

I have a bunch of single Packard 56 male and female housings and terminals left over from a project if you need some.
