Has anyone installed a double DIN navigation unit in a custom center console in a 69 Camaro? Looking for ideas on the center console as well as any clearance issues (Dash cluster, shifter, AC unit, etc.)

Almost 60 views and no responses? I'd think that at least a few of you guys out there must have done this already!
Just to add a bit more information, I found that using the DSE bracket with my Compac II AC unit was putting the corner of the AC box right against the nav unit. I ended up having to make my own bracket which moved the AC unit back, up, and to the right. In there much tighter, but still room for the hoses and I even more room for the glovebox.
P.S. No making fun of my high-tech nav mock-up!

Thier is a thread on putting an Ipad in one... but that is super thin so may not have the same challenges
Also does that bracket bolt to existing studs?

The only thing I could find on their site was for the 2010 Camaro and not the 69. Sent them an email to see what they have. Pretty cool solution for the 2010 though...been thinking about trading in my current car for a convertible when they come out!

Don't want to put anything as large as an iPad. Want the navigation so I don't get lost on PowerTour!
No....my bracket doesn't bolt to existing mounting points. That's the nice part about the DSE bracket. I had to weld in 3 studs to the center of the firewall, back behind the RH vent, and at the center dash top.

Eric, this is what I did to my center console, it took me a while. Made it myself, I think you are looking for one thats already made so this wont help you much. Anyways, this is what I did for my Dbl. DIN..... Maybe give you an idea or 2.
This console works great in the Gen 1 or Gen 2 camaro, it is available at www.modernclassicsinteriors.com
