I want to wire my starter ignition and fuel pump through mini rockers that don't have a relay on them. They are low voltage. Is there a way I can still use these rockers?
The starter is spring loaded.
I know very little about electrical.
Thanks for the help

what are the amperage ratings on the rocker switches? odds are you will need a relay. relays are very easy to wire up, so don't let them scare you!

The switches are just 12v low amp switches. Probably more for lights radio, etc. Can I use these and wire a regulator into them?
THanks,

i would just run them off a pair of 30 amp relays. its the right way to do it. i can make you a wiring diagram for the relays if you like.

Yeah that would be great. They are currently wired directly into the switch. I have 2 mini rockers (painless) 1 for ignition and one for fuel pump and 1 spring loaded rocker for the starter.
THANKS!! For the help!!
Does the ignition require a bigger relay? I was reading 50 amps.

50 amps for the ignition is not a bad idea.
for the bosch style 30 amp
run the wire going to the object you want to turn on & off to pin 87
pin 30 will get a good power supply that will be able to handle the full 30 amps of current. some people go straight to to the battery for this (make sure to have a inline fuse in this wire)
if you want to be able to turn on whatever you are wiring with the key off run a wire from pin 30 to pin 86
if you want the object to only be able to be switched on when the key is in the on position you need to run a switched 12 volt wire to pin 86
run a wire from pin 85 to your rocker switch, and the other pin on the rocker switch to ground.
