Does anyone here have these wheels on their second gen. f-body. I am really wanting to put the 18x8 / 18x9.5 on my 78 Formula Firebird, however I am not sure if the backspacing will work on my car. If they do work, what size tires are you running on them.

I just got some pics from a guy who was running them. I was going to buy the car, but another guy beat me to it. Here is the ad, I am not sure what tires and backspacing, but he was running the same wheel sizes that you are shooting for. http://huntsville.craigslist.org/cto/1683714639.html

PM me if the ad is taken down by the time you see the link. I have some more pics saved on the computer.

It depends on if you are going to lower the car or not. I just took a set off a car that we dropped 2", because they rubbed badly on the front. There is not enough back spacing to use them on the front of a lowered car. At least on a Camaro I don't know about a Firebird.

I am planning on lowering the car. I was either going to just go with a PTFB kit or get a TVS kit.

srh3trinity could you send me some better pics of that car. I would like to see better what they would look like on the car.

i have the ptfb kit and my car is slammed. i'm debating about whether or not i should even mount tires on my front wheels if 71rs is saying they rub bad on a lowered car

Pics sent to your email. I am sure when you flip through, you will realize why I am pretty bummed that the car sold before I could get to it. Dash was in great shape, new headliner, looked pretty rust free (in the pics) and the wheels looked great on it. I missed it by about a day because I had to work.

Yeah thanks for the pics. Seems like a pretty solid car, with most of the crap work done on it. Would have made for a nice driver, and the wheels do look pretty good on there. It seems like it has the black wheels on it, and I will be going with the gray centers rather then the black.
