View Full Version : DSE Wiper kit - what should I use for power?

The kit comes with what appears to be 10ga wire and a 30a fuse, which is alot bigger than anything I have available under the dash or hood that is switched 12v.

Does it matter? Seems like overkill not to mention difficult to splice cleanly if I use one of my auxiliary power terminals or jumpers that is only 14ga or so and on a 10 or 20a fuse. Do I need to run a 10ga off the battery and use a relay off my switched 12v?

For starters, what does the diagram state? Is it a switched or constant power lead?

Sorry I thought I was clear that it was switched. The directions simply state: Connect to 12v switched source.

So yeah, not real specific. So aside from appearing quite simple, why 10ga and 30a fuse? That's my concern.
