I have been looking to upgrade the wheels and brakes on my '69 Camaro and it has been hard to piece together a pair that I like. I am starting this thread as a fit guide that simply lists the rims known to fit with the C5/C6 brakes. Ideally you know they fit because you own them or you have some first hand experience with the fitment. Please list the specs of the rim and anything you had to do to modify the fit, for example wheel spacers. Pictures never hurt either :) Thanks! Hope this guide helps others too.

Billet Specialties Street Lite 17, C5 325mm Rotors, C6 calipers.
Will not fit without a 1/4" spacer, minimum.

If you are set on 17" rim then pretty much no fat lip wheels will fit the C5/6 set up.

MB Wheels "Old School"
Believed to be the same as Coys C-55
17x8 front and 17x9.5 rear.

C5/C6 front and rear with 325mm front rotor, kit is from KORE3

Front needed a 1/4" spacer, rear needed a 3/8" spacer.

I'll post pics later.

Thanks for the post Nick. I looked up those rims and they look really nice. I will have to add them to my short list. It would be great if you could post a photo, i would like to see them on your car!

I totally forgot about the pics, I don't have any close up shots showing the wheel to caliper clearance right now. I'll have to take some this week, I'll post again!

(feel free to send me a friendly 'reminder' if I forget!)

I like those rims a lot, they look great on your car. What size tire are you running on there?

C5 on a 17" TTII (CL205 in this case - same profile) is definitely a no-go. The C5/C4 13" rotor hybrid fits w/o spacers as shown here. Speed Tech makes the bracket. Also works w/ standard C6 calipers.

Budnik X Series Fontana 17 x 8 with a 1" pad will clear. I do not have any pics on the car, right now it's mostly just a big pile of parts.

Also, stepped lip wheels tend to have more room inside since the "step" is where the center is welded instead of on a rolled lip wheel where it is inside where the caliper rides.

I don't think they make them any more, but I had no clearance issues with ROH snypers (17x8 front, 17x9 rear) with he c5 brakes. This year I changed to the c6-z06 stuff and believe it or not they just fit. (14" rotor/caliper) The big thing to look for is a rim with a lot of spoke offset to get the clearance on the caliper. (pardon the water spots in the pic...) -Dan
