Need help with Starter connectors?????

OK, I took every body's advice on the problems encountered with headers and the starter not turning over when the motor is hot by purchasing ceramic coated headers. I also bought the mini starter, and 2 gauge wire to the starter from my battery located in the trunk. I am trying to keep the starter wire hidden by running through the back of the firewall to the starter. My problem is that the wire is so stiff that I can't do a 90 deg turn to get to the starter terminal without rubbing against the headers. Does anyone know of a 90 deg terminal that I can bolt into the starter and then maybe have some sort of screw terminal that the battery cable can slip into to keep me from having to bend the cable. I was thinking of using a bulkhead connector to get through the firewall also. Any ideas?

Any piece of copper that you can drill 2 holes in and is bent or bend at the angle you need will work. Just make sure you cover it with shrink tube or something to try and slow the corrosion. You can also use steel but it is not as good of a conductor but is still ok.

Is the 2 ga. wire a fine strand or solid? It should bend just not maybe as easily as you would think it should. You can try clamping it in a vise with something to protect the insulation and bend it over with a mallet.

Thanks Jim, It's 2 awg stranded cable but the shielding is extremely stiff. I wasn't getting any feedback so I did some surfing and on remybattery.com they have 45 and 90 deg copper battery lugs that I will try to make work. I am looking into a firewall bulkhead that has a rubber boot over it. Any suggestions.

There are plenty of places to get the firewall bulkhead, Painless makes a nice one and Moroso has the same one too. The rubber covers or boots can be found the cheapest and the best assortment at
