Pro-Touring.com - New T-shirt designs needed

I'm curious. Would anyone be interested in helping design new t-shirts for Pro-Touring.com? In the past it's just been our logo on the front left pocket and a large one on the back. I think it's time to get a little more creative and let the members help design it if anyone is interested.

I have no idea what to do but it has to be recognizable as the site with perhaps the logo still on the front or somehow on the back. Maybe we could use the original logo on the front and put some slogan on the back. Something about a poser or not a poser or poke fun at the question that explodes all the time as to what a Pro-Touring car is. Maybe poke fun at drag cars or anything that isn't well rounded and can do o.k. at most anything?

I'm just kicking around ideas and if anyone is interested please reply. Even if you have a great idea but can't do the artwork I may be able to work around that.

What would you like to see? What would be cool or fun? What would stir things up and be a little edgy? Post up your ideas and lets get everyone involved and maybe put some stuff to a vote or a poll.

What about a photo (or illustration) on the back of the shirt of Motiv8tr , facing Bad Penny , facing Velocity , facing The Detroit Speed 2nd Gen ..
Like a four-way Mexican Standoff ???
That would show some great examples of state-of-the-art pro-touring cars ....

Larry, call me sometime. I'll talk with my brother-in-law about it. He's a graphic designer for a t-shirt printing company.

Considering I check this site like A billion times a day, I would like to have an old one or a new one. If we dont get something soon I may be forced to use duct tape and a plain t-shirt and make my own. All kidding aside I would like an old one if there are any available

Due to no time to deal with shipping I set up a cafe press site. Old versions of most items can be found at http://www.cafepress.com/ProTouring and that's where the new shirts will eventually be found as well.

Larry,

I would rework the pro-touring logo to include Motiv8r instead of the cartoon, and straighten it out. Maybe more clean and straight. Then put on the back: THE DEFINITION OF PRO-TOURING. And list all of the "definitions". Maybe we can start another (god help me) definition of pro-touring thread with a poll that lists qualifications to vote on or something. Then take the top votes..... might work..... probably not though lol

i like the idea of putting motiv8r in the logo and we should definetly put it on the front...as far as the back...this is just an idea...have a couple different back designs...vote on them...if you have people that like two different back ideas almost equally and want one of each then why not...ill start thinking of some stuff cause id like a shirt and didnt get the first...im in

Whatever you do, keep the same basic layout.

Small logo on the front with large artwork on the back.

I second that! What about bowling shirts - Not sure of the correct name but something a little more formal. Does that sound redneck or what?

Ok if you think about it, if it was something like a bowling shirt...instead of us being a bowling team...we would be a pro-touring team...lol even though we run against eachother but its the idea that the pro-tourer's(if thats correct) against the pro-street,drag,tuner, ect. ect.

I was thinking more of a dickies work shirt.

The material bowling shirts are made from is usually pretty fragile and easy to stain.

That may be possible in the future. For now it needs to go on something CafePress sells.

How about a blurb on the back of the shirts that would poke fun at Frieburger?

Pro-Touring "Frieburgers worst nightmare"

Pro-Touring " Daves misconception "

And a couple of pics to make it work.

Just a couple of thoughts to stir the pot the way he does would be fun don't ya think?

lol.

How about a concert type shirt with 2010 events listed on the back.

Run Thru The Hill
Peach State Musclecar Challenge
Motorstate Challenge
Faceoff in the Flatlands

and so on? Make it look like a concert shirt of places member will gather during the year?

It could work, either that or the 70's style baseball shirt kinda thing, BUT you'd have to have the artwork just right or it would be really awful.

I can work up some designs, my legal copy of CS4 finally came in today after a couple shipping problems.I would just go for a normal T-shirt. They'll sell more than anything else except mabey a hoody.

It's the old logo but it's on a baseball shirt now. A re-design might look better?

I've added a new section to our Cafe Press store with some Custom T's inspired buy a couple of our members. Mary Pozzi, Bill Howell and The Rat Pack now have T's and coffee cups.

Check them out at http://www.cafepress.com/ProTouring and visit the custom T's section.

I like the concert T idea and also the poking fun at David Frieburger.

Whatever we do, we need some dark colors since I actually like to wear my shirts while wrenching. With that said, I like light colors or tanks at summer events. Wow, next thing you know I will be talking about cotton blends and sewing... Ugh!

Hey Larry, can we get the hats anymore? My black hat is pretty thrashed after spending too much time on my head under the car working so I could use another. They fit really nice too.

Larry, can we still get the standard black tee? Its sort of our un-official shop shirt.
