Hey fellas, I'm slowly but surely getting parts for my 86 442 and the next items I want to get is a sealed beam head light conversion kit. I was looking on google and ebay but I didn't find anything. I just happen to find this low rider forum and this 1 guy had some very nice and bright head lights on his 84 Regal. He said he them from eurolamps.com and so I went on there and the product looked pretty solid but I just wanted to come on here and ask you guys if you every heard of or used any product from eurolamp.com. I just don't want to waste any money cause I really can't afford to. Thanks in advance guys.

I have some "cheap" ebay 7" round lights that have worked perfect and bright for 4 years now. You need to do a generic search. Just use the dimensions of the headlights to do your search. I think I paid under $30 for mine with H4 bulbs and little peanut bulbs for turn signals too. I know its not high dollar HID but they work great for me.

Just make sure they are DOT legal. Some of the lights made over sea's are not.

The best non HID 7"s I've seen are Hella housings with PIAA bulbs. I was talking with the guys at PIAA and their bulb is constructed a little different than a typical H4, and how it sits in the Hella housing makes for a very impressive light pattern.

Fair point, but when was the last time you heard of anyone being busted for illegal headlights?

Agreed Mike. I run the glass Hella's with the 100/80w halogen bulbs. No problems, and they do lay down the light. Relays are a good idea with a bulb with that requires that much power.

I think these were the ones I purchased. These guys are also reasonably priced, have a bunch of cool accessories (harnesses, plugs, plug blades, etc.)

There are a million varieties of the 4x6.5" lights out there. I picked up a couple sets to play with on my Camaro... I bought one pair of Matrix lights with the "halo" around the perimeter, and a set of Eurolite housings without the halo. Both accept an H4 bulb, both were cheap, and they both have glass lenses with plastic housings. I have to admit... I thought the halo style were pretty neat.

But... I'm taking a different route now. Do some searches for E36 BMW euro headlights. A couple guys with Camaros like mine have retrofitted them, and there's some talk on the Monte SS forum about doing some retrofits. I've got a set on the way for my Camaro, and will be posting my results on www.iroczone.com when I'm done. These may be a viable option for you if you like the asthetics.
