I've had the quick silver and mega shifter, just looking for something different. Do you guys know of any other cool shifters?
Im looking for one that works with a 4L60 trans.
Thanks

I have the Kilduff and love it. And what makes them better than the others is they are customizable. Different handles, grips, triggers, top plates, cases, lettering on the top. Pretty much whatever you want. he is great to work with and has great prices.

Looks like this thread got moved back to the A/T section...

Neil,
Is it a a pain to have to pull up on the lever every time you want to shift?

Actually no it's not a pain. Infact I think it is what I like better than other shifters. It can't be shifted into another gear by accident. You can't skip a gear by accident. And what's nice is that you can pull the trigger and then shift to the next gear whenever you like. What makes this good for Pro-Touring cars is this. Let's say you are doing a track event at a road course. You are going down the straight. Now all you do is pull up on the trigger. Then when you get to your braking zone bang the shifter and get your hands back on the wheel. You can do this in a hurry and as hard as you want and you are only going to get the next gear. ANd it works going up or down. And in normal driving it works like a normal shifter, just pull on the trigger and select your gear.

Cool, thanks for the info!
I really like the ratchet action but was concerned about the trigger.
What version do you have? Do you have it in a center console? Could you post a pic?

I have the flat top version, regular grip, short handle, brass knuckle trigger, and the top plate has the roman numerals. But the top plate has been sent back to be upgraded to the lighted numbers. Right now it's not in a console but I plan on doing a full length one that will surround the shifter.

Now we got a Hurst for my wife's car but after seeing both she prefered the Kilduff so we just ordered one for her. She will have the standard flat top, lighted numbers, short handle, knurled grip, guilotine trigger.

I have B&M's Pro Ratchet in my car and I love it. Impossible to double shift on accident, very positive feeling.

The B&M Z Gate is a nice little shifter once you add another nylon washer, file the pull handle detents off at the D and R positions and add a compression spring to the pull handle...

I installed the aluminum handle for looks....

I've always thought Lightning Rods look cool as hell. I've never really looked hard into what it would take to make it happen though. I currently have a B&M Hammer in my Nova, with the handle changed out to a White ball with Red button on top for the Line lock.
