Removing ignition lock - no key

Ok so im trying to get the ignition out of the bird. I dont have the key anymore and I tried drilling it out its pretty much all I have left to do to see if the car will run. Anyone that can offer any advice on anyway to get this effing thing out it would be a huge help. I'm cool with destroying it as I have a new one to go in its place. I have just about every air tool imaginable.

Pull the steering wheel, remove the lockplate. I want to say there is either a set screw or tab holding it in place, remove(or press) and the lock will slide out.

If it's in the dash, I don't know.

damnit this really sucks i drove two hours to work on my car and it looks like i wont be making any progress.

it finally gave in it was not match for a hammer, flathead, and a drill.
