influx of florida forged wheel manufacturers
i was wondering if anyone knew why there is such an influx of florida forged wheel manufacturers these days? it seems that 2 out of 3 new wheel companies are start ups out of miami. is it cheaper to get barrels shipped to florida over california from wherever they're coming from now?

Probably because Miami is the bling wheel capital of the world.

I grew up in Florida and lived in south Florida (Miami, Ft Laud, West Palm) most of my life. From my experience, Florida, and especially south Florida, is full of crooks and con men. There's virtually no heavy industry in Miami / Ft Laud / West Palm, so most likely the wheels are from China as ODM branded items. There are lots of automotive aftermarket "companies" down there which exist on this model, especially in the Fox body Mustang world.
I'm not saying EVERYONE in FL is a crook or a con man, but on a percentage basis, south Florida has alot more than average.

Hmmm, South Florida does seem to have the highest percentage of ex-damn-yankees in the state...you know, people who can't even supervise an election without hangin' chads yet they know exactly how to solve YOUR problems.
My guess it has to do with Florida's personal/business friendly tax structure. Compared to CA anyway.
