Ok, I made by big decision on my brakes for my 71 Chevelle. At first the big decision was Bear or Wilwood? Well I read as much as I could. I spoke to Laramie Torres at www.precisionbrakescompany.com (http://www.precisionbrakescompany.com/) and I decided to go with Wilwood 6 piston with 4 piston rears and big rotors.

Now I need to get a power booster?

My question is I keep seeing people using a hydrabost on there brake systems what are the pros and cons. I have never driven a car with hydrobost.

Any advise would be helpful.

Hint on Wilwood..

Make sure you get their NEW (as in JUST came out today new) pads.. my last ones squeeled like a cat in heat. Wilwood had great CS and sent me their new and improved street pads (quieter and less dust).

I didn't have power on my 69 and it stopped great. Just make sure you get the right master cylinder.

Someone asked me "With the manual brakes how does your car stop?".. my answer "As good as you WANT it to" :)

Steve, I have a Wilwood dynalite 4 piston hub kit for the front of my '68. What master cylinder would you recommend that I get? I see you mention about getting the "right one".

Thanks
