In a G Machine suspension that will handle and will dig at the strip pretty good, G Link because it has adjustablitily.

Really neeed more information on exactly what your going to do with the car, you needs and wants (not the same).

Your welcome to call and discuss option, we have 5 different suspension brands we install in our shop and sell for projects for which we are consulting all over the world.

its a ground up project that i want to do right. its going to be used mainly on the strip but the occasional strip run or stop light to stop light. so im looking for something that can handle the corners and back roads and be able to grip and take off when the time comes

Air Ride Technologies by Ridetech, go on site and check out the drag car with air ride!
Frank can get you hooked up too. You want to do everything, best bang for the buck in my opinion.

do the air ride systems hold up as well as regular?

I'd say the best for holding that power would be the Art Morrison 3 or 4 link weld in rear clip.

the 3 link is about 2000 more than the 4 link. is it worth the extra 2 grand?

According to the designer the four link is the hands down winner:

Since your primary focus is on drag racing (obviously you want some handling capabilitiues if your asking here) I would go with a 4 link. Art Morrison is a great G Machine suspension, but does not have very much anti squat (for drag racing) adjustment. Matt at Art Morrison(designer) and I discussed possbily adding some adjustability. That might happen down the road.

The Chris Alston G Link is a Triangle 4 link also and has that adjustability right now. We have sold and installed a lot of these and they work great. They handle, ride and hook great.

Here is one we just finished on one of our full builds we shipped today. This one has a Scott Shafiroff 540CI, 702 TQ / 710HP

Now is a roll cage going to be necessary, or will sub frame connectors and sway bars be enough?

ProdigyCustoms

Structure wise frame connectors DSE or something through the floor) will be enough. but at 600HP she should run 10s and you will need a cage or be asked to leave.

will i need a full roll cage?

You will need to get a NHRA rule book, should only need a roll bar, but you should verify that yourself

Remember i wrote on one of your posts asking stuf about your 68 firebird ,saying this is funny, wel thise is even more funny'
i have roll cage that is completele bold in yet as strong and riged as a weld in cage!!.....having said that i belive my main hoop is welded in the rest is bolted on.

transamguy79

did you purchase the cage or did you fabricate it yourself?

Roadrage David

it was a comp engeneering 8 point rol cage that was welded in first, then cut 6 inches above there welding spot a thinner tube was used that fitted perfecktly in the welded tubes , welded on , then the cage was fitted over it in the trunk same way at the top of the hoop then bolted together if you do that right then its just as strong as a complete welded in rol, cage...
As for suspention upgrades unless you are a profesional race car driver you wil ""not"" go a sec faster with a 4 link suspention , it will give you the wauw factor and bragging rights!!,peronaly i would and did spend my money on a DSE mini tub kit with DSE leaf spring set up koni shocks with eather slide alink traction bars ore call tracks ad DSE Sub frame conecters with it witchs you conect with the roll cage!!! get a Moser 12 bold with 3.42 ratio for your 600hp engine i have Speed tech tubular upper and lower a arms SSBC Force 10 4 piston 13 inch disk brake set up!! in the front with Hoskish BBC lowering springs ecetera ecetera ecetear . i myself like the idea i spankt one of the modern euro greats(Aston Martin Vantage) with a leaf spring car!!! not only at top speed but past him on the outside in a highspeed corner ... Dont forget the Afther marked is just that Afther market its there to keep a seen alive and to make money. only spend your money on stuf that ""improves"" your car,s handling and ore safety, not because it just looks good and because its a replacemend and new!!. sure there is plenty of room for bling., but a afthermarked subframe wil not! improve safty nore handling on the streets . dont spend thousends and thousends of USD on stuf that woned bring you anything ...
