Hello
I have a Trans Am that I want to make into a sort of pro-touring car. Close to the BRE Trans Am, but I don't want to just copy that car.
Anyway; where should I start concerning the suspension?
The front end of the car is a little high.
Should I get the wheels and tires I want first (at least 17" maybe more) or should I do the suspension then worry about wheels and tires latter?
I am new when it comes to pro-touring stuff.
thanks

I would pic wheels first and look at your budget, a lot can be done with a good suspension kit, if you want good street performance with a lowered look we have our GT kit or our Comp kit for a more performance oriented build.
But one of the first things to look at is body bushings, steering components, add solid body bushings and frame connectors to give you a better foundation to build upon, remember that ANY improvment in the car's ability be it power or handling will increase load on the chassis and its components so they need to be up to the task.

IMHO 18" rims awesome on the 2nd Gens. Hopefully some owners will chime in, but 285/40s should fit on the rear at least, not sure about the front (might have to go 255/45s). Backspace and width is critical when maximizing tire width, so get lots of opinions and take lots of measurements.
