all ive got left is to change my accelerator pump on my carb and finish up my timing/map curve. It is a very smooth motor that makes some decent power it seems
very clean. I like how you did your steam lines. Congrats on getting it done.

What kind of A/C compressor and mout are you using?

sanden sd7 and vintage air mount that adapts to the factory corvette compressor bracket. at first it still stuck out too far and it the mounting bosses were cut down a 1/2 inch (i believe) to tuck it in to the block.

yeah ive heard it both ways, not going to do it until i get some milled z06heads to go with it. it does very well w/the ls1 cam in now.
i have a carbed ls1 as well. very fun stuff.

Looks good! What headers/oil pan are you using? Are those BRP mounts? Any pictures of the underneath? Curious about exhaust/oil pan clearance.

Looks nice. I like how you did the coolant by-pass lines. What Corvette filter are you using?

I am anxious to hear how the z06 cam performs in the 5.3 (hp wise) does it still sound stock? Also, why are you going to zo6 heads ? The 5.3 heads give you a better compression ratio than the LS1 / LS6 heads do. Does milling them bring the CR back in line?

LS6 heads have better flowing ports. They are not the same as LS1 heads. LS6 heads > 5.3L heads

i am running the complete brp setup minus crossmember. motor sits up alittle but i like running the fact corvette accessory system. the ls1 cam in it is very smooth sounds like a truck motor w/headers and exhaust, very docile at idle but when u nail it it comes alive

Nice...how does the power feel compared to your 413sbc??

it doesnt have the low end grunt but it pulls hard on the top end very well, the 413 was good till 5500 this thing pulls to 6500 so its a different feel my 3.42 gears may be alittle high for this motor but i dont want to change gears. 342 is a great compromise in driveability and performance
