Eibach lowering springs...which end is up?...Front spring install

      All,

I am getting ready to put the new drop springs from Eibach in my car today. Their site says up is so that you can read the writing, unfortunately, these are a set that were used for mock up and the writing is painted over. Can you gus tell me which end is up on the front springs?

One end has a gap between the final coil and the previous, the other end the final coil is tight to the previous coil. Let me know. Trying to button up the front today.

      Tom

What vehicle are these springs being installed in?
Upon inspecting the upper and lower spring buckets and spacers, you'll usually see that one will be flat, the other will have an area where the end of the "gapped" spring will set. This is what people are speaking of when they refer to the spring index. If you insure the spring is rotated to fully seat in this pocket your spring is in the correct position.

On an A-body the flat ground end goes up into the frame. There are two ears that locate the spring up inside so make sure those ears are inside the spring when it is installed or your ride heights will be catty woompus. Sorry for the techincal term.....
