      C5 suspension under a 93 lightning opinions

Hello guys I am kind of new here,I have just been a long time lurker. So do you guys think I would be crazy for going with a C5 front suspension under my 93 lightning. The reason would be to do away with the dumb twin I beam garbage or would i be better of just going with a mustangII front end.

I may be a little on the conservative side, although I would think that the C5 suspension is a little too light considering the weight of the truck. These parts were originally engineered for the loads seen in a ~3000 lb car. If someone in the know disagrees, please let me know.

If you do end up going with a MII based setup, make sure you do your homework. They're not all created equal.

If I recall, the Lightning weighs in at ~5000 lbs
Considering the chassis, I would probably start from a roadracing setup instead. It would probably be more of a nightmare than it's worth to retro a C5 setup

I also wanted to mention that I will be droping the weight down quite a bit around 3600lbs to 3800lbs but thats still a far cry from 3000lbs.

In general I would start with Stock-Car style stuff and go from there. Don't mistake, we are talking full-fab here

      This is pretty extreme but

You can get the components from
