I have a 75 TA. Currently my TA is getting a Heidt's front subframe with coilovers, tubular a arms and rack and pinion steering. The rear will be Heidt's 4-link with coilovers and a 1.25" swaybar. I am going to run 18" rims front and rear. 18x9.5 with a 5" backspace(+4mm for you newscool guys) and 18x8 with a 4.5" backspace. I want to run 295/45/18 rear and either 275/40/18 if 5" backspace with a 9.5" rim or 245/40/18 with a 8" rim on the fronts. The reason for 45 series in the rear is that they will fit on a 9.5" rim. My question is: will I have a problem in handleing having difference in diameter between the front and rear? The 295/45's are 28.46" tall and the 275/40 are 26.5" and the 245/40's are are 25.6" tall. The rims are Boss motorsports and are made in the USA and only $700 a set. I am trying to stay low budget. 10" wide rims would be nice but, are twice the cost. Any suggetions would help since I am new to going around corners fast. Thanks

Diameter will only play a role for ABS users. Since your car is rear wheel drive you need more in back anyway.
Think of this a mid 90s Corvette ZR1 ran 17x11 with 315/35/17 and 17x9.5 w/ 275/40/17.
so your ok.

I have. But the ZR-1's diameter are the same. Just width difference.
