Ladder bar or four link for air ride

Working on a 67 nova. Thinking about air ride in the rear. Could I use a ladder bar set up or do I need a 4 link. Seems to me the ladder bar would be easier to make work. Or am I think in the wrong direction

ladder bar is great for drag. But it doesnt allow any articulation of the rear end.
