I have a 67 buick GS400 COnvertible. I just finished my disc brake conversion. The Problem is I don't have the funds to buy a really nice set of wheels and tires. I need temporary rolling stock that need to be as least 16 inch diameter. Can some one give me some ideas. Suggestions please. I will be driving this car so Temp spares wont work

thanks in advance

used Corvette wheels and adapters. (?)
You can find sets of 2 all day on e-bay, leftover from 'spirited' drivers meeting the curb.

The 16X8" 3rd-gen Trans Am wheels are going for very cheap these days.

They'll bolt right on with no adapters or spacer, fronts are zero offset (4.5" backspace) and the rears have about 1/2" more backspace.

My favorite are the spare tires from 93-02 Camaro/Firebirds. They fit over 13" disk brakes, have the same lug pattern (5x4.75) and are great to roll around on. You can find them at junkyards or on ebay for about $40-50 each.

How much are you looking to spend?

as little as possible so I can afford to get the new bigger rims as soon as possible.
