      67 lemans torque specs

      Hi guys,

Converting a 67 Lemans from 4 wheel drum to front disc as a class project. Need torque spec. for upper/ lower ball joints and outer tie rods.

      Thank you,
      ED

are you talking about the large "castle" nuts that screw on to the joint itself? if so you dont even really tighten them.

From the '67 Pontiac Service Manual:

Nut -Upper Ball Stud......50 Lb. Ft.

Nut -Lower Ball Stud (Tempest)......82 Lb. Ft.

Nut -Tie Rod to Steering Arm......40 Lb. Ft.

Tempest specs same as LeMans and GTO, same car just different options and trim levels.
