Size of Rubber - per wheel inch

What is the standard range for tie rubber for a 7 in wheel and an 8 in wheel? What is the min and max?

Check out tirerack.com or something similar to check for each manufacturer as each one varies with their recommended widths, but I'd say average on a 7" wheel is around 215-225mm, and on a 8" wheel people usually run anything between 235-255 or so. It also depends on the aspect ratio. I'm pretty sure you're talking about PT cars and low profile tires, so those sizes are the norm, I'd say. Once you start getting into larger sidewalls (truck tires) you can fit larger tires on the same size wheel.
