Well here is My 1988 Monte Carlo SS. Motor/Trans is out of a 94 Camaro. Hope to upgrade the suspension and brakes soon and maybe even paint it. Enjoy
P.S. Everyone says "I didnt know these came in 6 speed"

Mine only has the Tuned Port option. To bad it's going to be for sale soon. Nice '88 though. Have fun with it.

Nice Monte! Mine has the Tuned Port option, along with the optional 5-speed. :) I love to see these cars get some proper EFI motors and the ability to row our own gears!

hey man the car looks good!
Im looking at doing a t56 swap in my 83 buick, what did you do with your pedal setup and would it be the same as my buick

An 83 buick would be the same. I got lucky & found an el camino in the junk yard years ago with a manual trans. Got the pedals for $25. There are aftermarket ones out there, or get just the clutch pedal, & trim down the brake pedal.

What kind of cars do I need to look for for the pedals? I have a set of 1st gen camaro/firebird clutch pedal setup would that work?
73supreme455 That shifter is a vette shifter with reverse lockout correct? that would not have come on the t56's in camaro's and I thought the vettes used the ZF6 6-speed, ive always like that shifter will it bolt up to the t56 and still utilize the reverse lockout?

Finding a set of G body pedals today are probably slim to none. They were available in 78-79 Montes & Cutlases, 78-mid 80's El Caminos & Malibus. You could modify a set of F body pedals, use the pedals themselves on the G body mount.

One of the suppliers- I think it's OPG- repop the entire mechanical linkage for G bodies

Someone on Montecarloss.com (I think) advertises a clutch pedal to add to the G body setup, you need to trim the brake pedal to be smaller & the clutch pedal just bolts on. I'll see if I can find it.

Sorry to hi-jack the thread, but does anyone know if there are 17" copies of the factory Monte SS wheels available?
