Got to get a set of tires for the new wheels that are coming and think I have it narrowed down to three choices. THe Nitto 555's The BF goodrich g force kdw, or the Goodyear F1 gs-d3's. I have heard some pros and cons for each but want to know any of your experiences or other suggestions. I only drive this car in the summer months and will not drive it in the rain(unless I can help it) so looking for the best dry road traction and wear while still having a great looking tread design.

Thanks

As far as I am concerned the KDW has the best looking tread design by far and I am sure it is a good tire although I have never owned any of them! I do have set of Nitto 555's they work great!

The best dry traction tire is the F1 Supercar. The Z06 vette comes with them. The best price is probably Nitto or Kumho.

Don't get the KDW's the G-force KD's are better, but the KDW's are trash.

Ditto on the KD's; I had them on my 98 SS... Although don't expect them to hang around long.

I had the GS-D3's on my 2003 Cobra. They handle the near 500rw tq that my car puts to the ground with ease. The are SUPERB in the rain as well. Against the KDW, and Nitto 555 I'd choose the GS-D3.

I'm split between the Nittos and the BFG KDs. Also considering the toyo T1s. Anyone have any opinions? I have heard good things about the way that the KDs perform, but they also seem to wear quickly. I know they are a soft, sticky tire but my car will be driven 3-5000 miles a year at the most, with only an occasional run at the track. Any idea of how they will hold up? How many miles have you all gotten on yours and in what conditions?
thanks, Nick

I love my Nitto 555's :woot: Not a single complaint and they are incredible in the rain. (2004 Power Tour) aka shower tour.

What size tires are you running front and back? I just bought the same rims in 18's as well(18x8 front 18x9 rear) and am wondering how big I can go front and rear. Also plan on dropping it as well. Any rubbing?
