Rear End Width b/w 1st Gen Camaro & Firebird

I know the width of a 67-69 Firebird rear is 61.25 inches end-to-end, but what is the width of the 67-69 Camaro? I think it is one inch shorter. Am I correct?

Yes, I have been told that you are correct. This knowlege I have recently accuried from a very reliable resource while trying to figure out why my new wheels/tire did not fit under my 69 firebird and while ordering disk brakes.

The width of a stock 1st generation camaro rearend, outside axle flange to axle flange (wheel mounting surface) is 60.0". I've seen this posted on team camaro several times. Hope this helps.
