The rear sits a little high. Anyone know where to get any 3" lowering springs. 1.3" Eibach springs are whats in there now.

Looking good. I have had mine a year now still in garage waiting to see pavement. Glad to see people looking outside the box on a 7 spoke wheel finally!
Looking good, Vince! I know you were agonizing over your decision but they look killer on there so hopefully, that calmed your second guessing.
Don't buy springs, just cut a little bit off your Eibachs with a cut-off wheel or a chop saw. When cutting performance springs, keep in mind that 1" of spring height when measured sitting on the bench unloaded usually equals a 2" drop and don't count on much settling. You already have a high quality set of springs, just trim them a little.

Thanks Jay, unfortunately the rear springs are pigtailed on both ends, so I wont be able to cut them. I swapped them out yesterday w/ some worn out stock springs, and the stockies actually sit 1 inch higher. Once I find a solution for the rear, the stance will be perfect.

run the speedway adjusters and the shorter springs. that was what i had before i went insane and basically backhalved my finished frame and suspension.
just remember that stance is EVERYTHING. it looks great now, but it would be insane about 2" lower.
the wheels are friggin sick!!!!!

Thank you, no issues, you just have to have the right backspacing and look underneath the wheel opening to make sure the with the drop you wont rub anywhere
I shoulda gotten 2" because the rear sits a little lower than the front, I like the stance even or the front lower then the back thats all.

19/20 combo. I cant really give a review yet as I only have about 4 miles on them. Just up and down the street to make sure there were no rubbing issues.

Yup, I've run their 3" springs in the past too, on our 67 chevelle, and they were bitchin....
Wheels look great on the car Vince.
Vince picked up the wheels from my house on Saturday morning after we stayed late at the shop Friday night to make sure they were mounted and balanced and ready for him to pick up. I took them home since my house is closer to San Diego where Vince is from. Looks like the clearances, and the tire sizes worked out perfectly (which of course is the Driverz way!). And other companies say you can't put a 10" wheel back there? They obviously don't know what they are talking about!

The specs on the rims and tires are as follows:
Front:19x8 BS 5" Pad 1.5
Tires: 245/40/19 NTO5
Rear: 20x10 BS 5.75" Pad 1.0
Tires 275/40/20 NTO5
I actually went out today with them, as I ust hooked up passing gear last night. All I have to say is WOW. These tires really hook up, and are super gummy. I am not a huge fan of the pattern but, oh well.
Good Call Jon on the tires as well as the measurements on the rims. Once I install the 3" drop springs I think I might be able to fit a wider tire in the rear, as it would clear the tail pipes.

Keep in mind if you cut your springs it changes the spring rate. My friend used a spring compressor and heated the coil on his M3 to lower it. Just kept them compressed with heat for about 5 minutes, heating 3 or four of the coils.

That will also change the spring rate and seems more likely to ruin the spring.

One of the absolute worst ways to lower a car.

I am not going to cut the springs. As I said in my previous post, the springs are pigtailed (both ends) in the rear, so it is impossible to cut them and keep them from falling out from under the car. I plan on going with OPG's lowering springs. I just don't know if Im gonna go 2" or 3".

3" is my vote... and remember that opg is now in seal beach. their new shop is MUCH larger.
good job jon. fitment looks awesome. i hate when people tuck the tires in to get them to fit. these look like they are pushed out towards the quarter perfect.

Went to LA today for a physical, and dropped by OPG to pick up some rear springs. The general plan was to order both the 2" and 3" and compare the difference. Since the 2" were out of stock I just picked up the 3" and installed them right when I got home. So I now have a set of Eibach 1.3" Rear lowering springs for sale if anyone is interested, PM me.
Heres the difference: 1" springs compared to the 3"

Wow, Vince.
It is really amazing how lowering the car really changes the look and appeal of the car. Looks great!
Now you have me hoping i am going to go with the right drop on my car. When i put my new wheels on I have 3inch OPG drop springs for the front and the 2inch OPG for the rear. I hope the 3inch fronts are not too low!
How is your front clearance?
Wheels and stance are everything! What a difference 2" makes!
Nice job, Vince!

Front clearance is good. I don't think I could go any lower. It would more then likely rub on the fenders when turning. I also think it depends on the wheel and tire size as well. The buick in the earlier post has 19" rear and it looks slammed way lower then mine.

It's been said before and it true. Wheels and Stance are everything. A car could be primered or freshly painted, but if it doesn't have nice wheels with the proper stance it doesn't have that 'Sic A$$' look. instead, it's just another car.

I love both of those. I got superspokes myself. But I was stuck between superspoke, whiplash and that last one which I suddenly forgot what it is called. I love all three of them and every picture I see of each makes me want one. I love the entire Rushforth line and now with the NewGen line coming out I have a second favorite. I know I sound like a hidden add for Driverz Inc and Rushforth but I like their wheels and Driverz Inc is great to deal with. Just my experience and taste.

yes 4" in rear and almost 3" up front. the rear tucks in very nice w/ no clearance issues. The front also has no clearance issues, but it could come down just a tad if I remove the hex bolts in the inner fender. Jon did an amazing job with fitment sizes. I can barely get my fingers around the rear wheel when it is flat on the ground.
I went with the 5 spoke because I felt it suited the car much better.

Just wanted to see more pics of the car with the Livewires. After seeing some brushed editions in a recent magazine (forgot which one...red car though), those have quickly risen into the top 3 dream wheels for me and my 65.
If you can, I'd love to see some different side shots and a couple 3/4 angle shots at least.
