Engine run on

I have a BB454 in a gen 1 camaro, it has a full MSD ignition system. When I go to shut the motor off, it wants to run on. I installed an .8ohm MSD ballest resistor on the positiove lead to the coil and it still runs on?????What gives, do I need a bigger resistor or what? Thanks for any help or suggestions.

You need to install a 100Ma diode (I believe) at the alternator post, read your MSD manual it should say for sure....this is common with MSD.
