Anyone got a pic of a 275 tire on a 10" rim, preferable Nitto NT05?

Uhh,John,,those are 275/40's,not 275/35's. Still look great,though. 275's and 10's are perfect mates.

What's the aspect ratio on that tire? It looks pretty tall.

Not a nitto or a 275. But its a 10" wheel and a 285 goodyear. Tires are not all the same size, even with the same number. They vary in size quite abit. Some run larger (correct size) than others that run small. JR

A set of same number sized tires. But they look a lil diff.

Both of these are the same size tire? Like both are 275/40/17? What brands are they?

Hey John, what rear guard massaging did you do to get it low? Ive noticed a secondary hump above the fender inside lip. Im up to lowering but spotted this setback today.

I haven't mounted the 315/35's yet...are you asking about the setup on the '69 in the pictures?

Yep John , the 69 in the pics. The hump inside above the lip up in the rear guard. I think if i drop mine (with 10s) this will be a problem?

Yup, both 315 tires. Sumis and GYs. I posted that to show the dramatic diff in same sized (numerically) tires. So you can use a sumi 315 on a 10" wheel but the GY is too large. JR

Ok,the sizes are the same. But,the listed specs (section width, diameter, rolling circumference, etc) on those two different brands are obviously different, right? If not, even getting two tires of the same brand and size would be a crapshoot.

10's will be tight anyway you slice it Gav,it can be done as long as you nail all the measurements dead-on but don't look at what works on my car and figure it will on yours, mine's a freak!

You are absolutely right, crap shoot. But thats why we exchange info here and on other sites. So we all get the straight skinny.

I went to tire racks page just out of curiosity. And not even sure they get the info from the tire manufactures. But it was way off.

They show the tread width of the sumis at 11.5" and the GYs at 11.2" Whoa!!! Not what I have seen on real cars in the real world. And Ive looked high and low and found the sumis to be MUCH narrower in both tread and sectional width. Again, not saying TR has the right specs either. JR

Oh, and I gotta add, that pic I posted was off the internet, so I cant confirm that they are in fact both 315 tires. But the guy that posted the pic is reputable. And many cars Ive seen showed the same thing. I was searching for info about 315 tires on 10" wheels and saw alot of the same stuff. The GY 315s look way too large for the 10" wheel and the sumis looked like a good fit. The measured wheel for both tires according to the manufactures is an 11" wheel. I think the suni would looked stretched on a 11" wheel.
