      Looking for wheel suggestions

I haven't posted here since my intro, spent most of my time on my Olds forum. I'm looking to build a Pro touring look car as I don't see many Olds out there. Right now i'm performing my front end assembly, changing my A arms and sway bars. I am also installing disc brakes. I'm looiking for a nice wheel for a staggered 18x8\18x10 or 19x8\19x10 setup. I was hoping to stay under 2k. Seems like most have to be custom made. There don't seem to be any "off the shelf" setups for the 5x4.75 cars out there. Can anyone offer some vendors with reasonable prices? I'm not trying to break the bank. I want to have money for my paint and finishing my motor.

      Thanks

Off the Shelf and Pro-touring, as far as wheels go, do not mix very well. There are wheels out there, in 18s or 18/20 combos that could possibly work, like the Foose Legend that are off the shelf, but that's about it. Everything else I can think of is going to be custom built.

Check out the Foose Legend and let me know what you think.

Other options include the Billet Specialites Legends Series, which for the money is a great value. 18x9/18x10s are very affordable. And you can even have an 18x9, 20x10 combo in these too.

Options from there will put you into the two piece, custom machined, billet wheels like Schott, Rushforth, NewGen, etc., all of which in 18s are about 2300/set or 19s and 20s 2700-3000 a set.

I hope this gives you an idea so you can budget, and if you need help with any of our brands that we sell, let me know. More than happy to extend a "to the penny" quote once you decide on which wheels you really want. We have the right info to set you up with the right offsets, etc., and can work with you on building wheels around your brakes, and suspension mods. Call anytime. Happy to help.

You can get some pretty decent 18" wheels for $2K. 19" wheels would be a little tougher. If you were including tires in that cost estimate,it will be hard to do with anything other than cast-style wheels. 19" wheels and tires are really pricey. Better figure on spending around $4K for decent 19" rolling stock.

Thanks for all the replies guys. Jon, I did check you guys out before I started this thread after reading several others in the forum. The price I indicated was just for wheels which I probably should have explained. I'm grateful for all assistance and I'll make sure to check out those Billet Specialties

I can do most of the styles we offer in 18's for right at $2K. They will all be custom built though which will take 4-6 weeks once you make your order. Take a look around our website and if there's a particular style you like let me know and I can get you a price quote. If you go in our Endless Series I can get you a set of 18's for $1495, but the styles are very limited.

I already have an '65 Impala SS we are setting up that has 20" Nitrous. The car was purchased without the original drivetrain, so we are about to install an LT1 and 4L60E to replace this dying 350. We are also installing Wilwood discs all the way around. Here's what it looks like now.

I've run MHT wheels on my Denali, Foose and Kaotik's. I've loved the quality, but I'm not a big fan of the Nitrous Legend though. I'm checking another thread here now to see the feedback from the wheels at ProWheels.net
