      c5 wheel centerbore

what's the centerbore on c5 speedline? (the solid 5 point star) rims? i measured the narrowest part and got 71.1 but researching gives me 72.5 or 72.56, i need to get spacers made up and want to get it right the first time oh, will vette rims (5x120 bolt circle i think) bolt to a standard 5x4.75in pattern?
      thanks

I don't know about the speedline wheel center bore, but the Corvette wheel pattern is 5 x 120.65mm [5x4.75"]. I would trust first hand measurements over anything you've researched online, offline, wherever.

thank you. unfortunately i can't trust my measurements more than 1.0mm. i can't get the caliper into the CB itself, so i had to trace the CB and measure that.

How much time do you have? I have a set, but they are on the car. I do have a set of c5-z06 wheels not on the car but they are at work. -Dan

If you've got a machine shop nearby, swing in and see if they'll measure it for you with some inside mics and/or a snap guage. That should get you within a thou or better depending on the tool and user.

ok, I'll be swapping over to my track rims in a few weeks so then it's easy to measure. Otherwise I can pull a rim over the weekend. I have a machine shop so measuring isn't a problem. -Dan

      I show 2.78" as the center bore o.d. for a C5.

Yeah, 70.6 = 2.779" (2.78"). If I were going to build a wheel then, right now, to be hub centric for a C5, I would cut the center bore to 2.78".

2.78" does sound right, I remember measuring that on the c6-zo6 wheels for ProBell's car. I can double check though. -Dan
