i bought a set of directional race tires for my cobra, does anyone know if i can mount them with the thread side out so it does not look like a slick? no real high speeds highest abot 120...and street use and light drag racing...

No.
The carcass is designed to run in one direction and though that tread pattern hardly sheds water well, it will do it to an even lesser degree running backwards.

On Victoracers maybe not a problem. When I got my first set, they were all lefts, so I called about it. They told me the carcas had been redesigned to be omnidirectional, and mount treaded side in.
Worth a call to see if the same condition exists in your size and current construction

they will still be in the correct direction, just switched sides so the thread is out -slick is hidden in. also it will never see rain..i hope it has no roof! they were only $50. and i will give it a try i was just wondering if it has been done.thanks
