Help me pick a wheel for my '69 Z28

For a change of pace, I'm looking to update the look of my car with a modern, race-oriented wheel.

Here's the car:

These are my favorite wheels for it:

Forgeline ZX3-R with matte black centers and polished hoops:

That black forgeline is the one. Even the white "forgeline" sticker would match perfectly. That would look soooooo good.

I like the Forgelines with the silver centers. I like the black spokes, but I think they might clash with the gloss black stripes.

I'd go with the black Forgelines. Definitely. Either way, that Z is going to look nice!

I agree with everyone so far.
The black Forgelines would look killer, especially where your car is white with black rally stripes. The wheels will set it off.

Forgeline ZX3-R with Black centers but I'd do 18".

I'd also consider the CCW LM20 with a black center.

Looks like black centers is almost unamimous. I've got a set of matte black-centered 17" wheels from another car I can mock up on the Z to see how it looks. I'll post a pic.

I agree! You also asked about WWV V40s. If you're thinking of going that route why not consider 17" "minilite" style wheels with black centers. Team III is close to coming out with 18s. Someone posted pictures on the Corvette forum I believe. Back to your original post. The matte black centered ZX3Rs are a great choise.

i like the ZX3-R wheel first and the LM20 second. i'd go gloss black centers if possible, but that's personal preference.

to piggyback on what JV69z/28 said, one of newgen's unreleased wheel choices will be an 18" wheel that very closely resembles the minilite design.

I really like the Minilite style, but the current 17" variations from VWW and Team III are just different enough from the original to keep me from pulling the trigger. PS Engineering has a 17" version that is more faithful to the original. I've had my eyes on a set of Forgelines for awhile now, so I will likely go that direction.
