Torque Thrust ll wheels: Do they need lugnut spacers?

I have a set of 18 inch Torque Thrust lls on my 70 Charger and when I purchased them the seller told me that I didnt need any washers as the lugs that came with the set were beveled so washers were not needed.

Well I finally got my car on the road and drove it for about a mile or so and it seems the lugs are being rubbed at the base where the wheel meets the seat of the lug and it is rubbing the chrome off.

Do these wheels always need lug nut spacers?

they should be standard accorn style lug nut seats. Sounds like you got cheap lug nuts.
