Newb questio:

I have a 66 Cutlass and I want to put deep dish/reverse offset wheels on my car. I know nothing about rear-ends, but I do know I like deep dish wheels! Where do I start? Where do I start? Do I need to have the rear end measured and see how much it can be narrowed(without tubbing) and then get the wheels? Or do I need to figure out how big a wheel I can fit inside the wheel wells and then see how much I need to narrow the rear-end? Is there any downside to going with deep dish wheels from a reliability/bearing life aspect?

Thanks

I would say (my .02 ) get the wheels and tries you want (that will fit the well unless you want to tub) and then narrow the rear end to fit. The bearing life will also just be a matter of opinion.......
