30967 Hi guys! The car will be House of Kolors Black. I don't know what kind of wheels to go with. What do you guys think would look good? The car will be lowered 2.5 in the front and 1.5 in the back. Thanks Val:idea:

5 spoke or multi-spoke? classic or contempory? 1, 2, or 3 piece? price range?

2.500 - 3k. I like the multi spoke idea also! 1 piece.

18x10 in the rear is what i hope to do. 18x8 up front. Something I can put my 315s on!

check the link in my sig, i put in hot links to multiple manufacturers in post #1 and #2. also click here: https://www.pro-touring.com/forum/showthread.php?t=55600

only recommendation i do have is to buy from a trusted website, and, if possible, from one of the vendors on this forum.

if you're wanting a 1 piece for $3K, the only monoblock wheels in that range are from CCW. www.ccwheel.com

many consider monoblock wheels to be the strongest. if they truly are, they're probably not much stronger than other wheels made of T-6061.

when you say you want a 1 piece wheel, i'm pretty sure you're wanting a 2 piece welded wheel. an example is the rushforth rated X listed above. although i believe you can now order rushforth wheels in 3 piece. definitely contact driverzinc for the rundown on that development.

Yup, Chevelles are an easy fit, and you can get a nice wide tire in the rear. The red one above that Jason posted, we set up with a 10" rear wheel, and we can even go as wide as a 9" wheel up front, and a 275/wide tire.

Let us know if we can help, we ship wheel and tire sets mounted and balanced ready for you to bolt on to make it easy.

Are you sure a 19 x 9" with a 275 tire fits up front? This is what I was hoping to run but was told it would not fit

I have an idea, how about posting some of those pics so us guys who are looking for that certain look can get an idea of how different types of wheels look/fit. I've been in a headspin trying to decide on the right wheel/tire combo for my 69 Chevelle. Maybe the pics can be sorted by model for ease of navigation. Suggestions?

I think I might get blasted on this, so consider I'm new here. But, love the SS wheels that came on the 1970 Chevelle's. The have 2 colors, chrome with the black inside. I like the ones that are some what similar, that are posted above. What ever you decide, I think you should go with a 2 color wheel.

From one A-body to another I'd recommend Rushforths as well.

All great wheels guys! It will be a hard decision!

It'll make you sick...if you let it and you'll never decide.

Take my advice from someone who's bought a set or three before...narrow it down to 2 wheels...maybe 3...and whittle it down from there.
Use every tool available to you to see how they'll look on your car and your stance.

Use the Benjamin Franklin close on each wheel, what you like and what you don't.Write it all down so you can compare notes...one side the pros and the other the cons.

Eventually, you'll figure out which one is right...:smoke:

It will, 2.5 inch drop!

A 17x9 or an 18x9 front wheel and 275 tire will fit that car like a glove. On that width, you will need 5.25" to 5.5" backspacing.

That is very good advice,John. I'm no rookie when it comes to wheels & tires but even I am awed at the huge selection out there. A lot of my projects have been built around their wheels and tires and I usually don't take as long to make a decision as I am,this time.
I "think" I've decided on the combo for my BH 57 but every time I turn around,I see something that would look great, too.

When it comes to cars,we're truly living in "the good old days".
